Abstract
Digital labour platforms provide new opportunities for economic growth and job creation, and have the potential to contribute to the realization of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 8, which is to “[p]romote inclusive and sustainable economic growth, employment and decent work for all”. These plat-forms have also facilitated the inclusion of many businesses, including small and medium-sized enterprises, into the digital economy, thereby improving their productivity and enhancing their market base.
